What to Expect
Perched above the breathtaking South Okanagan valley, our estate offers more than just a venue—it offers a sense of awe. We understand the profound importance of your wedding day, and we’re honoured to provide a setting that matches its meaning.

Venue Booking Details
Our Wedding Pavilion is available for rental between 9 AM and 9 PM, offering ample time to prepare, celebrate, and savour the experience. For an additional fee, enjoy exclusive use of the entire venue, with the winery reserved privately for you and your guests.
To support your day, we provide:
- One white table and up to 50 elegant white folding chairs
- A power extension for your ceremony needs
- A ceremonial runner from the archway to the pavilion, creating a beautiful aisle for your entrance
Additional chairs and tables are available for a fee
Please Note: To allow for personalized styling, tents, floral arrangements, table linens, chair covers, and other decorative elements are not included. Many of our couples work with a wedding planner to create a bespoke aesthetic that reflects their unique vision—and we’re happy to collaborate to ensure the setting is just right. We can help with a wedding planner recommendation.
Reception & Dining Area
With sweeping views of Okanagan Lake, our venue is ideally suited for 50–70 guests, with capacity for up to 100 in an intimate, refined layout.
Your booking includes tables and chairs to accommodate your celebration. Please be aware that place settings (cutlery, glassware, plates, bowls) and other table settings are not provided, and will need to be arranged through your preferred catering team or a rental company. Likewise, you are encouraged to rent a tent to cover this space.
The winery is not responsible for the management of rental equipment or communication with the rental companies. If you'd like, we can connect you with our local restaurant partners and rental agencies who specialize in delivering exceptional service for your meaningful day.
Beverage Service
As part of your event package, we’re pleased to offer a 15% discount on all Observatory wines.
To ensure a seamless experience and to comply with our licensing and insurance requirements, outside alcohol or beverages are not permitted during the ceremony or reception without prior approval from Observatory Winery.
To ensure attentive, responsible service, a dedicated winery host will be assigned to your event. For gatherings over 50 guests, a second host is provided at a 15% service charge on retail sales.

Celebrate your special day with the option to enjoy our stunning winery exclusively! While our standard packages keep the winery open to the public during your event, you can choose to make your wedding or reception a fully private affair.
Private Venue Closures
$1,500 on weekdays and $2,500 per day on weekends, ensuring your celebration is intimate and uninterrupted.
Permit
A Special Event Permit (SEP) is required for all weddings and private events hosted at Observatory Wines. A copy of the approved permit must be submitted to the winery no later than 30 days prior to your event.
Security Deposit
To give you peace of mind, a refundable $1,000 damage deposit is required with your final payment. As long as everything is left in perfect condition, your deposit will be promptly returned within 48 hours after your event.
Booking & Cancellation Policy
Secure your date with a 50% non-refundable deposit. This holds the venue exclusively for you. The remaining balance is due 48 hours before your event.
Need to cancel? No worries, deposits are fully refundable if cancelled at least two months prior to your event date. Please note, cancellations within two months are non-refundable.
Parking
We have limited parking available. For nonprivate events, we recommend arranging group transportation to ensure a smooth arrival experience, as parking may be limited when the winery is open to the public.
Onsite Accommodations
Our guest house offers breathtaking views overlooking Okanagan Lake in a vineyard setting. The winery is a short walk to the Villa. This property is perfect for wedding parties. Our Guest House has a fully equipped kitchen, 2 living rooms, a dining room, a half bath and 1 bedroom on the main floor. A grand spiral staircase leads to the upper level with laundry, 3 bedrooms, and 3 bathrooms - one of which features a soaker tub overlooking the Okanagan Lake. The Villa offers 3 queen-sized beds, and 1 king-sized bed. The Villa sleeps 8 people comfortably.
The wedding package price is $625 per night (regular $680/night) with an additional $350 cleaning fee.
