2020 Observatory Red

A classic red blend from the Black Sage Bench. The fruit for this blend was grown by a vigneron family in Oliver and finished by Observatory Wine post-ferment. 2 years aged in fine barrels and then blended and bottled in 2022.

Fruit-forward Merlot takes the lead in this blend, supported by the savory embrace of Cabernet Franc and the supple but bright fruit backbone of Malbec. Big fruit, strong spice and great tension makes this wine enjoyable now with a decant, or the reward of smoothed complexity with further cellaring until 2035.
